Frocester Engineering has invested in a second large abrasive waterjet machining centre to increase the capacity of its busy operation. The Omax 55100 machine was supplied and installed by UK distributor, Aquajet, (with a little help from Frocester Electrical) and has a 50HP new generation Enduramax pump enabling cutting pressures of up to 60,000 psi. Cutting at this kind of pressure speeds up production without loss of quality enabling
Commenting on the acquisition, Design and Waterjet Manager, Tony Sanford said “This is a great step forward for the company, the new machine will help us service our existing customers quicker whilst also providing the extra capacity we need to go after new customers. The new Enduromax pump is easier and quicker to maintain so helps to reduce downtime as well as maintenance costs. We’re very pleased to have made the investment and are looking forward to the new business it will enable us to win.”
