Safer Detention Units (SDUs) as manufactured exclusively by Frocester for The Athelney Group have featured on the latest “fly-on-the-wall” documentary by Channel 5 called Inside Oxford Street.
Have a look at the clip above which shows suspected shop lifters being easily detained, questioned and then processed by Metropolitan Police Officers with the help of the SDUs.
The use of the SDUs dramatically decreases the number of Police Officers required to carry out these tasks for lower level crimes like shoplifting, crucially, in the current difficult funding circumstances, allowing resources to be used more efficiently and effectively.
