We are looking for a Fire & Security Service Engineer to join our team, covering the Bristol or Bracknell area. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and servicing fire and security systems on behalf of our company, following directives from the Service & Commercial Director.
The ideal candidate will have the experience, skills, and training to carry out work efficiently while upholding excellent health & safety standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as this role involves working with clients and other stakeholders. Additionally, the role demands technical ability and IT literacy.
A valid driving license is required throughout employment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Service & maintain various fire and security systems under contract.
- Take a lead role when working with subcontractors to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety training (Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, ECS, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to improve company profitability by recommending system upgrades, spotting weaknesses, and identifying outdated equipment.
- Complete online documentation promptly and secure client sign-off.
- Manage & maintain company equipment, PPE, and vehicle stock levels.
Essential skills & experience:
- Hold relevant current certified training records
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IT packages such as Word, Excel & Outlook
- Ability to organise own work with limited supervision.
Desirable skills & experience:
- Qualifications / Certificates of training for Gallagher, Avigilon, Honeywell, FIA, Apollo or Gent.
- Advanced Health & Safety training such as SSSTS or Petrol Passport
- Experience of Microsoft 365 software package including but not limited to SharePoint and Field Service
