This month, members of the Frocester team visited Hamble Lifeboat in Southampton to present a cheque following the London to Brighton Cycle Ride, an incredible £6,095.63 raised in support of their lifesaving work.
The team met the dedicated crew, learnt more about the essential service they provide, and saw firsthand how the donation will contribute to keeping people safe on the water.
Managing director Steve Taylor said: “Their passion, professionalism, and commitment to the community truly inspire us, and we’re proud to play even a small part in helping their vital operations.”
The Fundraising Journey
A dedicated group from Frocester traded fire and security tasks for cycling gear and took on the renowned London to Brighton Cycle Ride on Sunday, 14th September 2025.
Covering a challenging 55-mile route, the riders faced steep climbs, coastal winds, and city traffic. The initial fundraising target was £2,500, but thanks to the generosity and support of colleagues, clients, families, and friends, the total raised was £6,095.63.
Why Hamble Lifeboat?
As an independent lifeboat station, Hamble Lifeboat provides a critical emergency response service for both the local community and those in difficulty on the water.
