First donation to Hamble Lifeboat made

Frocester is proud to support Hamble Lifeboat as one of its charities of the year. The partnership began earlier this month with an initial donation presented by Frocester’s Managing Director, Steve Taylor, and Fire Director, James Joyce. The donation was handed to Mark Lewis, Lifeboat Operations Manager, at Hamble Lifeboat station.

Hamble Lifeboat, based in Southampton, provides a vital service to ensure the safety of those on the water. Operating 24/7, the team of dedicated volunteers responds to emergencies across Southampton Water, the Solent, and surrounding areas. Each year, Hamble Lifeboat attends hundreds of incidents, from assisting vessels in distress to supporting search-and-rescue missions in collaboration with the Coastguard.

“Frocester is proud to support Hamble Lifeboats as one of our chosen charities for 2025,” said Steve Taylor, Managing Director. “Their work in saving lives on the water is inspiring, and we’re honoured to support their efforts. We hope this partnership will raise much-needed funds and awareness for their incredible efforts.”

Hamble Lifeboat relies entirely on donations and community support to operate its fleet of rescue boats and maintain essential equipment. The £580 donation from Frocester marks the start of a series of fundraising activities planned throughout the year.

Mark Lewis, Lifeboat Operations Manager, expressed his gratitude saying: “We are thrilled to be selected by Frocester as one of their charities of the year. This partnership will help us continue our life-saving work, ensuring we can respond quickly and effectively to emergencies on the water. Every donation makes a real difference, and we’re looking forward to working with Frocester in 2025.”

Hamble Lifeboat has a proud history of saving lives, and the team’s commitment to training, readiness, and community outreach makes them an invaluable asset to the region. With support from partners like Frocester, they can continue to protect lives and promote safety on the water.
