Hope for Tomorrow named our charity of the year

Daring sky dives, foot aching hill climbs, and breathless marathons are on their way in the next twelve months, as our enthusiastic team members take on a selection of charity challenges to raise money for cancer charity Hope for Tomorrow. Cancer has affected the lives of many, in one way or another, including many of the people here at Frocester. It’s why throughout the rest of 2022 and early 2023, different members of our team are taking on challenges, match-funded by Frocester Group, to raise as much as possible for Hope for Tomorrow’s fab work! Each member of the team will be setting their own fundraising target, and will be working hard to get their sponsorship, but they’ll be doing it with the added incentive that Frocester Group will be matching it pound for pound.

Stomping their way up and down three of the biggest peaks in Yorkshire, our first fundraising fanatics are Iain and Anthony this September. They’ll be taking on Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough peaks, in under twelve hours, ascending a whopping 5,200ft. We wish them the best of luck and recommend a good pair of socks, plus plenty of practise!

Also taking up the mantle in September, Tom & Brian have signed up for the Forest of Dean Autumn Half Marathon. This entirely off-road route will make the most of the autumnal forest backdrop, but we don’t envy them the challenges of the hills along the trail!

In the daredevil corner, Jamie, Daniel, Ellis, Matthew, and Ben, will be skydiving to raise their funds for Hope for Tomorrow. They’ll be joined by their instructors to make the leap into thin air, all in the name of charity. We wish them the best of luck!

To top off all the fundraising, Frocester Group is hosting a client golf day, welcoming 80 golfing amateurs and keen ‘pros’ to the course. We’ll be hosting a raffle and auction with some great prizes, to add a few extra pounds to the target. More details to follow. Watch this space!

Gloucestershire-based Hope for Tomorrow is a charity with a mission to make a difference to how patients are offered their treatments for cancer. Championing the use of dedicated, Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCU), their focus is on localising treatments, minimising wait times, and improving the comfort of those having treatment. Their MCCU fleet is in use by NHS Trusts across the UK who take them to the heart of communities, staffed with cancer care nurses, to deliver the absolute best care possible.

Keep your eyes peeled for their fundraising links, and we look forward to seeing the donations coming in. Thank you!
