Industry insights and innovation: A round-up of recent events

Over the past few weeks, members of the Frocester team have been out and about, attending two key industry events that offered hands-on experiences, valuable technical insight, and opportunities to connect with partners and peers.

At the forefront of access automation with FAAC UK

First up was the FAAC Simply Automatic UK Manufacturer Open Day, where our Gates and Barriers team got a close-up look at the latest in access automation technology, from industrial doors and domestic garage doors to powered gates and traffic barriers.

The day wasn’t just about product demos (though those were certainly impressive). One of the standout sessions came from the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF), with a detailed talk on the TS 013-1-2021 Code of Practice. It covered essential guidance around safety, compliance, and performance standards. For our engineers and project teams, hearing directly from the DHF about the latest updates and best practices was invaluable, ensuring we remain aligned with evolving industry requirements.

We were also pleased to see the innovation on display from FAAC, reaffirming why they continue to be a leading name in access control and automation. A huge thank you to the FAAC UK team for their hospitality and a well-organised event.

Partnering for progress with Hanwha Vision

Our security team also spent a day with Hanwha Vision, exploring the future of CCTV and integrated security systems.

From emerging AI-powered solutions to the latest in camera technology, it was a chance to delve into the tools and trends shaping the next generation of surveillance. The roadmap presentations and live demonstrations highlighted just how rapidly the security landscape is evolving and how crucial it is to stay at the forefront of that change.

Operations and Commercial Director Curtis Wright said “It was good to see some of the latest products, supporting tools and an insight into what the roadmap looks like. Thanks to Simon Hurst for the hospitality and demo.

We are very proud of our diamond partner status and as such we offer a great deal of experience and product knowledge to ensure we can best support and deliver for our clients, whilst providing peace of mind.”

Turning insight into action

Both events highlighted what we value most at Frocester: strong partnerships, a commitment to quality, and staying ahead of the curve. Whether it’s understanding new safety standards or integrating smarter security systems, these experiences feed directly into the service we provide every day.

Our teams return from these events inspired and better equipped, ready to translate new ideas into reliable, forward-thinking solutions for our clients across the UK.
