Proudly expanding

Looking back on the last eighteen months, it’s been a positive time for Frocester Group, reflected in the recent expansion and development of our team. Sustained customer demand since mid-2021 has seen us:

  • increase the size of the project management team to ensure we can support our clients proactively and meet installation delivery deadlines
  • create a dedicated service support team for Fire & Security operations
  • bring on board technical systems expertise to support customers IP security maintenance, implementation & upgrade programmes
  • improve business ownership and efficiency with a dedicated expert finance team.

We’ve also focused on sustainability & lowering our carbon footprint by swapping four of our fleet of vehicles to EVs, and adding solar energy capture and storage to our office.

As our MD Steve Taylor highlighted in his pre-Christmas message, “2022 has been a great year for Frocester Group, seeing us develop and enhance our client relationships, and also work with some great new companies for the first time.”

Iain Hompstead becomes a Director

In October 2022, we appointed Strategic Account Manager Iain Hompstead as Director for Frocester Security Limited. Iain has been with Frocester Security since July 2021, bringing 19 years project management and leadership experience, and is now supporting many of our clients with their security needs. He has led on a significant number of new projects, and has made a substantial contribution to the company with a wealth of skills.

Mark McCormick joins the team

We also appointed Mark McCormick as Contracts Manager for Frocester Security. Mark has extensive industry experience, starting out with work experience at the age of 15, progressing to trainee engineer for a small Surrey based company called Mercury Security. He continued to become a fully-fledged engineer, before pivoting career into a new industry.

His tangent was short-lived, and he returned to industry, experiencing a breadth of roles including Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Project Manager, Ops Manager and most recently six years as Operations Director at a camera security company where he oversaw a complete transition of the company in terms of structure, professionalism, and growth. With his leadership, the company expanded into international markets carrying out complex projects in North America, Asia and Europe.

His varied roles often brought him into contact and partnership with Frocester Security. He kept in touch with our Managing Director Steve Taylor, until opportunity aligned to become our new Contracts Manager. Having experienced Frocester from a client-perspective, Mark is clear that there wasn’t really a settling in period. He comments “A lot of the staff here I’d worked with their client so I didn’t really feel like there has been a settling period. I just hit the ground running. Frocester are growing fast and I feel my experience of shaping growth can really add to the business here. Being part of a fast-growing company, alongside an experienced and dedicated team, and adding my own experience to that is very exciting to me. The business clearly values its staff and everyone is given the tools and trust to be successful within their roles and as part of the bigger team. What has come across is that it’s a very close knit team. All of the staff are treated with respect and as people rather than a pure resource and for me that gets the buy in from the team. I have worked some places where it’s completely the opposite. It’s a really refreshing way to run a business.”

Nicky Reynolds heads up the Finance Team

To support with the quality of service that we offer our clients, we expanded the Finance team of the Frocester Group, with the appointment of Nicky Reynolds as Head of Finance. Nicky has had extensive Finance and Administrative team experience, bringing an eye for detail and accuracy, with good analytical skills. When we quizzed her on “Why Frocester”, Nicky said “I have a wealth of experience in many different industries – over 30 years, gosh that time has flown – which I felt would place me well to deal with a new industry. I really liked the sound of the company and their work ethics and culture, and I sounded an absolute perfect fit for the job, and the job for me too – the job description could have been written for me!”

Nicky is helping shape the future of Frocester, bringing in streamlining and efficiencies that support our team, as well as our clients. It is also seeing us bring much of the finance function back in house from an outsourced provision, which makes it easier for us to support clients. Nicky says “I am loving working here, Steve has a fantastic team, and I’m enjoying working with them all, and getting to know everyone – they really are a fabulous bunch! I feel my work ethics and personality are a really good fit for Frocester. During my 2 interviews with Frocester, both Steve and I felt that we “hit it off” and felt that I was a good match for the company, and vice versa!”

Nicky has gone on to make her first hire for the finance team, bringing on board our finance administrator Karen Wakefield.

We are continuing to hire and expand, so please keep an eye on our job vacancies.
