With over 14 years of experience in the security industry, Ben Maggs joins Frocester Group as Operations Director for Security and Fire.
Ben will be responsible for managing the engineering team, ensuring they continue to deliver at the highest level for customers and steer the security and fire divisions’ continued success.

Before joining Frocester Group, Ben worked as an EMEA Project Manager at global technology integrator Convergint Technologies.

How long have you been working in Security?
I have worked in the security industry for just under 15 years, starting as a trainee and working my way through the engineering route; technical delivery and design; and an operations role as an EMEA project manager looking after data centres across Europe.
What made you decide to take up the role at Frocester Group?
The opportunity to work with a close-knit team, which works well together. The responsibility of shaping the operations department and steering the Frocester Group Security and Fire divisions’ growth.
What will your role involve?
The role gives me responsibility for the day to day running of the engineering teams, the divisions profitability and ensuring processes improve delivery and efficiencies. Also importantly, the development of staff and product innovation.
What experience in your previous roles will help you with your new job?
Having a technical and engineering background within the industry means I understand the day to day work that needs to be completed by the engineers, with experience from running multiple projects, over a million pounds, concurrently and the detailed reporting of these.
What are you excites you about the new role?
I am looking forward to being part of the close senior management team within Frocester Group, which have a track record of quality delivery and customer satisfaction. I’m also looking forward to supporting the engineering teams with my technical knowledge to encourage business growth.
Any thoughts on the industry in 2021?
I believe the security industry was robust during 2020 and was one of the few that grew despite the pandemic. I believe that growth will continue into 2021 and beyond. I am looking forward to some normality and providing solutions in the interim, like mask detection, social distancing management, and temperature screening.
