Large-scale warehousing installation
Supporting a busy distribution warehouse for a major UK retailer, Frocester Security is proud to have completed the design and installation of protection and monitoring systems. We cannot disclose the client’s name or location for security reasons.
The warehouse site manages the receipt of incoming goods to the UK for storage and onward distribution. The area is more than 1 million square feet, and the external perimeter is just over one kilometre. Frocester Security was awarded the tender for the project and provided the consultation, planning and specification, system sourcing, and installation of all systems, in addition to the ongoing monitoring. The system is fully comprehensive to protect the site, employees and goods, and includes:
- a perimeter alarm system with full monitoring and CCTV
- a full perimeter fence installed with fencing and gates from Warefence
- a Gallagher access control system across more than 50 doors
- a monitored intruder alarm combined with a radio pager system, to alert the on-duty members of the maintenance team of any open doors or compromised access points
- a comprehensive Avigilon CCTV system compromising more than 80 cameras covering the internal and external spaces
- staff access management including key card access, Boon Edam speed lanes and speed gates for staff entry, and Garrett metal detectors
- full site access controls including staff segregation to permit specific users to specific places.
