Walworth Town Hall
Working alongside our partner contractors Conamar Construction and MJ Electrical, we are installing an access control, fire and security system at Walworth Town HallWalworth Town Hall has been the focal point for the local community since 1865, the heritage buildings stand defiantly as one of London’s truly iconic buildings. The building is Grade II listed for its architectural and heritage merit.
Following a major fire in 2013, the Town Hall is being restored to its former glory as a prominent mixed-use community hub at the heart of its community.
The building will offer workspaces to small and medium creative businesses and a variety of services and activities to meet the needs of local businesses and residents.
Frocester Security, in conjunction with Conamar and MJ Electrical, will be undertaking the installation of CCTV, Access Control and Fire Detection systems in the Town Hall, including:
- Paxton Net2 access control hardware for all access points
- training for staff to support secure user access
- 24/7 CCTV coverage (Hanwhs CCTV system)
- Fire detection systems
Iain Hompstead, Director for Frocester Security commented “The fire at Walworth Town Hall demonstrates the importance of fire detection systems, especially in historical buildings. The new access system means that the Hall can be safely used by the community, without compromising on security.”
Due to the heritage nature of the property, the design and installation is a formidable challenge, with a mixture of old and new building elements to be considered.
“Working with Conamar and MJ Electrical has been great as we were able to tackle this challenge together, and provide an easy-to-use system in this thriving community hub in South-East London.”
“Security and fire detection were both key priorities for us when we started this project.
These systems from Frocester Security are both efficient and user-friendly and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome.”
